Daniel Krige is a Australian based writer, director and actor best known for the international award-winning comedy web series The Agent and acclaimed feature films West (a haunting drama which premiered at the Berlinale) and Inhuman Resources, a horror-comedyacquired by HBO and Amazon Prime.
As development executive for Create NSW, Dan worked with the producers of Australian films that include Wake In Fright, Mystery Road, The Letdown, Mr Inbetween, Nekrotronic, Squinters and The Other Guy.
In 2016 Krige formed Dream Genie Films with producer, Anne Robinson. Their first feature comedy, The Merger, premiered at 2018's Melbourne International Film Festival to rave reviews, along with the Heath Davis-directed Book Week, on which Krige served as Executive Producer.
Krige’s short Larry Time won Best Screenplay and Best Sound Design and was named Runner Up for Best Film at the 2019 Made In The West Film Festival. Larry Time also placed in the top three out of 200 entries in the 2019 Short And Sweet Film Festival, and screened in competition at the 2020 St Kilda Film Festival.
Daniel is currently working on the following projects:- Bounce, a 6 x 1 hour comedy series he co-created with Emma Markezic, in development with Northern Pictures. Whiteshark, an 8 x 1 hour drama he co-created with Anthony Hayes, John Edwards and Dan Edwards, in development with Roadshow Rough Diamond.
